Privacy Policy

1. Overview & scope

This Privacy Policy explains how EquiDhan Community (“EquiDhan”, “we”, “us” or “our”) handles information in connection with the website at equidhan.com (the “Site”). The Site is an informational and educational presence for a community of Indian equity traders; it is not a transactional platform, and it does not offer user accounts, dashboards or logins.

This policy covers only the Site itself. It does not cover the separate messaging communities we run (for example on Telegram and WhatsApp), which are operated on third-party platforms and are subject to those platforms’ own privacy policies in addition to anything we tell you within those groups.

2. Information we collect

We have deliberately kept the Site lightweight, and we collect as little personal data as practical:

• No accounts. The Site does not require you to register, log in, or create a profile. We do not ask you to submit personal details simply to read these pages.
• No tracking cookies by default. The Site does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. See Section 4 for details.
• If you message us. When you choose to contact us through our Telegram or WhatsApp community, we receive your message and whatever profile information that platform shows us. We use this only to read and respond to your enquiry, and it remains subject to that platform’s own privacy policy.
• If you join our communities. When you join our Telegram or WhatsApp communities, those platforms collect data according to their privacy policies. Your profile, phone number (where applicable), username and the messages you post in those groups are governed by the platform you used, not by this Site. Please review their policies before joining.
• Basic server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider may automatically process limited technical information (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to deliver the Site and keep it secure. This is handled by our host under its own policy; see Section 5.

3. How we use information

We use the limited information described above to:

• respond to enquiries and messages you send us;
• operate, maintain and secure the Site and our community channels;
• share research, market context and educational content with members who have chosen to join our communities; and
• comply with applicable law and respond to lawful requests.

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we do not use it to build advertising profiles.

4. Cookies & analytics

The Site does not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies by default. We may use a small number of strictly necessary, privacy-friendly mechanisms required for the Site to function, but we do not use cookies to follow you across other websites.

If, in the future, we add basic, privacy-friendly analytics to understand general traffic patterns, we will update this policy to disclose what is collected and why. We will favour aggregated, non-identifying analytics over invasive tracking.

5. Third-party platforms & processors

Some functions rely on third parties, each of which has its own privacy policy that governs the data they process:

• Telegram — our Telegram community (@equitytradercommunity) is hosted on Telegram’s platform and subject to Telegram’s privacy policy.
• WhatsApp / Meta — our WhatsApp community (EquiDhan Traders) is hosted on WhatsApp, owned by Meta, and subject to WhatsApp’s and Meta’s privacy policies.
• Our website host — the company that hosts and serves this Site processes basic technical data needed to deliver and protect it, under its own privacy policy.

We do not control these third parties and are not responsible for their practices. Please read their policies to understand how they handle your data.

6. Data security

We take reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect the limited information we hold (for example, the messages you send us). However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You share information with us at your own discretion.

7. Your rights

We respect your privacy rights, including those under the India Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. Because the Site holds very little personal data, in most cases the only personal data we have about you is what you voluntarily sent us in a message.

You may contact us to access, correct or delete any personal data you have shared with us. To make such a request, reach out to us through our Telegram or WhatsApp community and we will respond within a reasonable time, subject to applicable law. For data held on Telegram or WhatsApp, you will generally need to exercise your rights through those platforms directly.

For any privacy concern, or to exercise your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023, you may contact us through our community channels (our Telegram or WhatsApp group). We aim to acknowledge and address grievances within the timelines required by applicable law.

8. Children

The Site and our communities are not directed at, or intended for, anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe a minor has shared personal data with us, please contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for legal reasons. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date shown at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
